The start consists non diegetic sound of the narrative describing what love is and how you should be treated. There is then an Arial shot of bed with a male and female laying back to back. The body language shows there is a distance between them. The mise en scene show that the colours are black and white which suggests there is no love. When the music starts the male starts to illustrate the lyrics with body language. He then turns to female but she rejects his comfort. The male then gets confused and upset. Then the lyrics "my mamma don’t like you" shows how the male was blinded by love and didn't see the truth. As main chorus kicks in the male and female start to dance but show they are still distant as she stays on her side of the bed and maintains distance however she can.

The male follows her as he has strong feeling towards her, the shot changes into a long shot down a corridor the mise en scene shows the males emotional state empty inside without her love as there is no objects of colours in the corridor. She then walks away and the shot changes to another long shot of them both moving into another room this shows how the female wants to escape from his presence as she shows no emotion towards him.

The next shot is a mid-shot of them both entering the kitchen and the female opens the fridge and blocks the cameras view of the male highlighting she doesn't want him in her life. He then looks in the fridge for something to eat as she didn't offer him anything to eat. She then takes the apple out of his hands and eats it while walking away from him like it was hers in the first place.

The next shot is a mid-shot of the living room with both of them standing the female is facing the opposite direction to the male. Once the male touches her she rejects and sits down showing again her resilience towards him. As they dance she pauses and looks at her phone and then leaves that room as well expressing her boredom around him.

The next shot shows both phones next to each other one white and one black and they are both dancing on the white together showing how their relationship once was and then she moves onto the next phone leaving a gap between them. The colours are opposite to each other showing how the relationship is broke.

The following shot is a mid-shot showing a mirror with both of theirs reflection and shows there personality as she is only looking at herself and he is trying to attract her attention but she is not attracted at all. This shows how the lyrics “love yourself" relates the female’s present state of only focusing on herself.

The next show is a long shot of the female getting ready to go out but still pays no attention towards the male. Then the music stops and the screen turns black and changes to a new shot of Arial shot of her in the bed she wakes up and turns the light on and notices he is not there and reads the note left for her saying love yourself. The close up towards her face shows her emotions that she was slight upset, she then goes to straight back to sleep.
