When considering what costumes my artist is going to wear it is vital for pre - production this is because there is a lot to consider:
The costume has to match with the genre and look of the music video. For example if my actor is dressed in a all black outfit. This will ruin the visual styles in the music video such as the style and colours.
The costume has to appeal to my target audience and the demographic for Jamie Lawson's 'Still yours". The Fashion may appeal and be essential to the target audience, and they want the video to be visually attractive for the eye of the consumer.The actor has to be confident with the costume they are given to wear. This is because it will change the way their performance goes. For example if they are upset or anxious with what they are wearing they will appear that way.
it must be coast effective for the lowest budget as possible. However there are many outfits I would like to use in my music video, I have to be aware of their cost. In the scenes my actor is acting in front of the white background screen, I have multiple possible options as to what t-shirt is suitable for my actor.
White T-Shirt and bomber jacket
As the title of the song I am producing a music video for is 'Still yours' it would be important to have my character wearing a white t-shirt and a bomber jacket. I have searched the internet for websites that sell these t-shirts, and bomber jackets and found they were popular and common. I was thinking about the colour scheme and i came to the conclusion of keeping it casual. This is why i have thought about just using a plain white t-shirt and black bomber jacket.
This another t-shirt i found however i don't think the style will be appropriate with the theme.
Below is the plain white t-shirt i will be using for my actor to wear for our music video.

Below is a jacket that we are not going use because it is too colourful for our theme.
After searching the internet and popular clothing websites for jeans where a lot of males shop, I found these jeans. There are black, blue and grey is what we are considering in our music video. it would be a visual contrast to the field in the background. In addition to that the cost is also fairly reasonable, as they are priced at £55. We think that the black skinny jeans will be most suitable for our character.
Trainers
Our actor will be wearing trainers as they are more practical than shoes out in the field. The colours we are considering is white or black and maybe blue. the colours of the trainers is important as it finishes the look of the character.
These are plain white huarache's however they are too bright for our look we are trying to achieve.
Overall, I think I am going to choose for the costume with a white t shirt, black skinny jeans and a black bomber jacket with black trainers. I think it is the most suitable choice as it not only links the main theme and title of the song, but it will appeals to my target audience and actor who has to wear the costume and it is selling for an affordable price. I will now continue to gather research for my pre-production tasks, while keeping thought of the influence and effect it will have on the artist's target audience.
