The place I am going to record my music video is essential and it is a huge role in the production process. I need to make sure that before I make my final mission where i am filming that the following will not affect me;
Location 1 - field
I intend to film the majority of my music video with the performer lip-syncing in front of a field. This will require quite a spacious and quiet location, which lead me to choosing my a a field as the place to film this part of my video. In some of the scenes of the music video, my performer will be standing under a tree. In addition, through the editing process we can edit the music in the background as you do not need any speakers. A potential problem with the location is its availability - events often take place in the theatre. However, this problem can be avoided if I book the space before I intend to film.
The curtain can be drawn back to create more space if needed, or it could also be used to create privacy so no one can watch the performer in my music video act if they feel self conscious.
Location 2 - Grafton underwood church
We though by using a church for the music video because it adds purpose to the song as it is called 'still your' based on a loss of a girlfriend or potential wife. This is why we thought this location was suitable for our music video.
Location 3 - A crop field
The colour of the crop field was nice on the day as we were going to our location we spotted this field which we just had to use because of how good it looked.
- Availability - the location has to be free and available for my usage when i need access to it within my filming schedule. otherwise it will extend the production process unnecessarily.
- General location - if the place where I want to film is far away, location to and from it may be an issue. Also, there may be a possibility that I have to film in that location more than once for re-shoots, so the closer the location is, the easier it will be to complete production.
- The suitability - if the location is busy and is a place where people frequent often, it will make filming there very difficult as people and crowds are an unavoidable problem.
